Alfreton Town FC News

Alfreton Town 1 - 0 Hinckley Utd
Redditch Utd 1 - 5 Alfreton Town

Jake MoultThe Reds began the new season with a deserved 1-0 home win over Hinckley United with Jake Moult notching the club's first goal of the campaign on 55 minutes.

Moult made it two goals in two games when he blasted home the fourth goal in a 5-1 success at Redditch United midweek as the Reds gained revenge for last season's 3-0 defeat in Worcestershire.

Anthony Wilson's first league goal for the club put Alfreton in front on 25 minutes and, after Jordan Fitzpatrick had equalised against the run of play on 40 minutes, Nathan Anthony's first league goal also gave the Reds a 2-1 interval lead on 42.

Paul Clayton added the third from close range and produced a stunning 15 yard finish for the fifth as Nicky Law's side made it a great start to the campaign.
