Panthers U11's Are Kitted Out For The Weather
Friday 10th February 2012
Chesterfield Panthers Under 11's have been kitted out with a set of waterproof training tops as a result of the on-going sponsorship support from local company FRANKE Sissons Ltd.
This is the third season that the company has sponsored Mini Rugby at the Club.
Based at Sheepbridge, the company is one of Europe's largest manufacturers of stainless steel sanitary ware and this country's leading manufacturer of industrial sinks and associated catering equipment. READ MORE...

Wednesday 18th January 2012 With this being the only Senior game to beat the frost, a bumper crowd saw what was a very tight and competitive game from start to finish.
A Luke Waite try, converted by Liam Charlesworth, put the Panthers in the lead after just 9 minutes and this was increased when 17 year old Jake Blair touched down and Nathan Poulton converted.

Panthers Form Guard Of Honour For Tigers
Wednesday 16th November 2011 The ever strengthening Chesterfield Panthers Under 8's team had the honour last weekend of being invited to form the Guard of Honour at the Leicester Tigers v London Irish game, an invitation which they just could not refuse.
And with the game being screened live on Sky TV, the players, all of whom have are new to the game in the last 2 years, were all guaranteed national fame as they walked out onto the pitch in front of a crowd of over 20,000 before the start of the game.

Friday 7th October 2011 Chesterfield Panthers RUFC is a forward-looking rugby club at present in Midland 4 East League. They run three senior sides every Saturday plus a Women's XV and in addition they have a strong youth section catering for all age groups from Minis upwards.

Council Grant Will Help Panthers Promote Rugby Participation
Tuesday 12th April 2011 Chesterfield Panthers RUFC are delighted to have been the recipients of a grant of £750 from the Derbyshire County Council Leadership Fund to help them in their continued work in assisting the participation of young people in sport, and in particular in promoting the benefits that will come from participating in physical fitness and teamwork activities.
The Club currently runs rugby teams at all ages from Under 8's to Under 18's and has both Mens and Ladies Senior sides, with around 230 players taking part in the sport on any weekend of the season. Leadership from RFU qualified coaches is provided for all teams and junior players... READ MORE...

Panthers Host Local Schools In Tag Rugby Festival

Chesterfield Panthers Rugby Union Club has hosted the Annual Tag Rugby Festival for Junior schools from throughout the Borough at their Stonegravels ground.
Organised by John Trever from the School Sports Partnership and Fred Pell from the Club, the competition followed several weeks of coaching by a number of coaches from the Club at schools in the area and attracted entries from ten schools with over a hundred players taking part. READ MORE...

Last Minute Try Seals Cup Win
Tuesday 4th January 2011 After a six week lay off due to bad weather both teams were desperate to play rugby and on a morning ideal for rugby a cracking game ensued.
The early pressure came from Chesterfield, but having failed to cross the line they fell behind to a breakaway try from the visitors.

Rugby Stars Return To Where It started
Monday 22nd November 2010 Chesterfield Panthers RUFC played host last week to a group of players, all local lads, who had started their careers at the Stonegravels club over the last ten years and had gone on to play at the highest levels of the game.
The evening was arranged in conjunction with the Mini and Junior section of the Club and saw the players taking a wide range of questions from those present before autographing a number of shirts and other items. Work Begins On New Rugby Ground

Work has begun on the Chesterfield Panthers RUFC's new ground at Dunston after a "First Sod Turning" ceremony was held last week with the Mayor of Chesterfield, Councillor Keith Morgan, turning over the first spade of earth at the site of the development.
The land was purchased from Chesterfield Borough Council in August and work began last month on the preparation of the playing fields. When completed the site will not only be the home for the Panthers but will also have football and cricket pitches plus a children's play area... READ MORE...

A 'Whizz-Bang' Of A Friday Night Promised
Thursday 30th September 2010 Friday evening (1st Oct) will see the Club putting on a firework display that will light up the sky in the neighbourhood as we host a demonstration of the 2011 range of fireworks supplied by local company Pure Party. The company will be using our ground to showcase their range to their trade customers and have invited our members to come along for a free show.

Chesterfield Panthers RUFC Land Bought
For New Club Ground And Facilities
Chesterfield Panthers Rugby Union Football Club is pleased to announce the acquisition of land at Dunston on the northern outskirts of the town as the future home for this expanding Club.
This long awaited purchase will allow the Club to begin the transition from it's current home at Stonegravels (which, with over 250 players at mini, junior, senior and ladies rugby, it has long since outgrown), to a modern purpose built sports facility over the next two years.
The new facility will provide a modern Clubhouse and function suite with three pitches, two of them being floodlit, and a floodlit training area. READ MORE...
