The Burlington Opens In Chesterfield After £300k Investment

A brand new pub has opened in Chesterfield following a £300,000 investment of the building. The Burlington, which has been named after the street on which it resides, opened its doors on Friday 22nd May for a celebratory launch party.

The pub, which sits next door to Chesterfield's famous Crooked Spire, will create three new positions for local people in addition to retaining existing staff.

The pub, which sits next door to Chesterfield's famous Crooked Spire, will create three new positions for local people in addition to retaining existing staff.It has opened as a traditional town centre pub offering its customers a warm welcome, great value food, cask and craft ales, fantastic sports viewing facilities and music led entertainment at weekends.

The new pub will open daily from 9am with a brand new food and drink offer to suit the time of day or purpose of visit, whether for breakfast, a mid-morning stop, lunchtime fix or evening meal.

Breakfast selections include a bowl of porridge served with fruit, maple syrup or jam, a breakfast wrap comprising award-winning sausage, bacon, fried egg and hash browns or pancakes with bacon and maple syrup; whilst main course options cover pub favourites such as hand-battered fish and chips or hand-made British steak and Bombardier ale pie, burgers - of which there are ten types - grill dishes, salads and lower calorie choices and sharing platters.

Alongside the menu, the pub will be introducing an extensive drinks range including award-winning wines, premium lagers, spirits and cocktails, priced at two for one all day every day. Three craft beer taps are being installed, with the pub opening with the first of many craft beer choices, Brooklyn Lager, Blue Moon and Punk Dog IPA. The Burlington will also offer a selection of four cask ales and will launch with Marston's Pedigree, Doombar, Brampton Best and Golden Bud.

A busy line-up of entertainment is also planned by Joe and the team at the pub throughout the week. Monday becomes poker night whilst games night launches on Tuesdays with free pool during the evening on the pub’s new pool table as well as the opportunity for customers to challenge one another to board game matches.

Wednesday is craft and cask ale night, during which customers will get double stamps on the pub's new cask ale collector card.

Quiz night will take place every Thursday and DJ-led music, games and giveaways will be the focus for Friday and Saturday nights. On Sundays, customers are invited to relax over a freshly prepared roast lunch and enjoy and day of Super Sunday sport.

The Burlington will open Monday to Saturday from 9am, closing at 11.00pm on Sunday to Wednesday, at midnight on Thursday and at 1am on Friday and Saturdays. It will open at 10am on Sundays. Kids Eat Free promotion, when dining with an adult, will run across the opening bank holiday weekend.
