Fans Kick Off A Great Start To The
New Season

Thursday 23rd September 2010

It's been a record-breaking start to the season at the B2 NET stadium, with home games pulling in a 46% increase in crowds (up from 15,927 to 23,329) in comparison with the first four home games of last season.

It's also generating income streams that were only dreamed of at Saltergate, with revenue from the new Conference and Banqueting facilities expected to hit £1 million.

Bosses at the club say that they're grateful to all who have visited the ground and say they'll continue to improve facilities there even further.

CFC chief executive Carol Wilby said: "We want to thank the supporters for getting us off to a good start at the B2net Stadium but as an ambitious club there is so much more to do. We realise there are still some issues around ticketing on match days with the increased numbers.

"Although we advise that match tickets should be purchased in advance to avoid queues building up on match day we sold nearly 1,000 tickets last Saturday, the majority after 1.00pm.

"To speed up the transaction on the day we no longer accept credit cards after 1.00pm, its cash only and there are free cash points nearby at both the Spar Shop and Tesco."

There is also extra opening for the ticket office until 7.00pm on the Friday night preceding the game. Next late night is Friday 1 October 2010 ahead of the Crewe game on Saturday 2 October - tickets are already on sale for that game.
