Refuse Collections

Chesterfield Borough Council
Have just informed us that Bin Collections are now currently suspended. We will pass on more information as we have it.

NEDDC
Their black bin collections are cancelled today and will be collected next Monday.

However, residents are advised to put burgundy bins out as normal as burgundy bins crews are waiting to try again - they have been out but the snow is too deep to drag bins to the lorry. If they are unable to get out again today, they say they will take any burgundy bin overflow in plastic bags (not BLACK bin liners) at next collection if they are placed at the side of the burgundy bin.

Looks nice though...

And even though it's causing all the problems, it does make Chesterfield look beautiful.

Here are our pics of the snow on and near the canal this Monday morning.

If you've got any you'd like to share, send them in to our email at info@chesterfieldpost.co.uk along with your name and we'll put some of them up!
