NCEL Announce New Sponsor

A local company has just been announced as the sponsor of The Northern Counties East Football League.


Baris, a linings firm based near Chesterfield was unveiled at Saturday's AGM at the Royal Hotel in Scarborough.

With immediate effect, the competition will be called the Baris Northern Counties East Football League and the league are looking forward to having a long relationship with the new sponsors.



Howard Webb MBE, the new NCEL league President will officiate at the Staveley MWFC v Chesterfield FC friendly on Wed 20th july 2011It was also announced that Howard Webb MBE (pictured left) is to be the League's new President.
 The former Baris NCEL referee was offered the role after a fantastic 2010 for him which saw him officiate the World Cup and Champions League Finals in the same season.

In another coup for the League, the newly appointed Baris NCEL President and the 2010 World Cup Final and Champions League referee, Howard Webb MBE, has kindly agreed to referee the Staveley MWFC V Chesterfield FC friendly game at Inkersall Rd on Wednesday 20th July 2011.

In return the NCEL sponsors, Baris Facades & Linings Ltd, have agreed to make a £250 charity donation to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance which is a charity that is frequently supported by the Hull based NCEL Premier side, Hall Road Rangers FC.

Chairman Bob Smailes and Baris were delighted to assist Bob in his fund raising campaign.
