Grassmoor Gains New Homes Thanks To £5m Investment

Overgrown land in Grassmoor near Chesterfield, is to be transformed into 61 new affordable homes thanks to a partnership between Westleigh Partnership Homes, registered provider Acis Group, and North East Derbyshire District Council.Overgrown land in Grassmoor near Chesterfield, is to be transformed into 61 new affordable homes thanks to a partnership between Westleigh Partnership Homes, registered provider ACIS Group, and North East Derbyshire District Council.

Meeting the needs of the district and providing high quality sustainable housing, developer Westleigh has been appointed to build the new units on Birkin Lane, whilst ACIS have invested £5 million into the scheme which will see them own and manage the new houses.

ACIS have invested £5 million into the scheme which will see them own and manage the new housesWelcomed by North East Derbyshire District Council, the scheme is set for completion in the summer of 2014 and will offer a mix of house styles.

This includes 12 one and two bedroom apartments, four two bedroom bungalows and 39 houses offering two, three and four bedroom options; 55 of these properties will be for rent, whilst the remaining six will be offered via shared ownership.
