Division One

It was the long awaited clash between leaders Parkhead and second placed Millhouses Works. The match didn't disappoint with the home side batting first making a good 201-8 from their 46 overs. Top scorer was A.Vinall with 46 whilst M.Cox claimed 5-117. The result went to the wire with Works scrambling to victory at 205-8. Skipper, Richard Everitt was again amongst the runs making a fine 68, with Dar cracking 53. Best bowling for the home side came from the pacey Chris Turner with 4-61. The win takes last season's champions back to the top of the table.

Another major clash was a relegation encounter between near neighbours Hundall and Apperknowle. Bottom of the table Hundall dismissed the visitors for 128 and then knocked off the runs for the loss of just one wicket with Andy Timms hitting a fine unbeaten 55 and Martin Dawson an unbeaten 46. This win sees Hundall overtake their neighbours at the bottom of the table.

The Pearson brothers were in fine form for fourth placed Holmesfield at home to  third in the table, Sheffield University Staff. Jimmy hit 82 and Neil an unbeaten 71 in their side's impressive total of 223-7 (J.Young 4-34). In reply, Staff closed on 163-7 (Paul Kerry 43, M.Joshi 40).

Hollinsend Meths returned to winning ways with a good win at the Olive Grove ground of Sheffield Centralians. They did well to make an all out total of 140 (Schofield 4-42). Batting first the home side were restricted to 141-8 from their allotted overs, with Askew top scoring on 49 and Willey picking up a useful 5-48.
