Derbyshire Senior Challenge Cup Draw

Thursday 18th November 2010

Chesterfield have been drawn away to Mickleover Sports in the Derbyshire Senior Challenge Cup 3rd Round.

The Spireites who have been granted a bye through to this section of the competition, are competing in the cup for the first time since 1937.

Six time winners, Chesterfield will face a Mickleover side that is currently competing in the Evo-Stick Premier Division.

John Sheridan is likely to use this match as a reserve team fixture to enable his squad to obtain some game time.  Mickleover Sports Ground has capacity for 1,500 of which 500 are under cover, including 200 seats.

ALFRETON Town also enters this season's competition at the third round stage where they have been drawn at home to near neighbours South Normanton Athletic.

The Shiners are currently in third place in the Central Midlands League Supreme Division, four divisions below the Reds in the Non League Pyramid.

It is expected the tie will take place on Tuesday December 14th 2010 with a 7.45pm kick-off but date, time, and admission prices for the game are all to be confirmed at a later date.

The Full Draw:

Derby County v Shirebrook Town
Matlock Town v Glapwell
Glossop North End v Gresley
New Mills AFC v Belper Town
Gamesley v Borrowash Victoria or Holbrook Sports
Buxton v Long Eaton United
Mickleover Sports v Chesterfield
Alfreton Town v South Normanton Athletic

All matches are to be played around the 13th December 2010.
